Polpeor Cove Print: Lizard Peninsula Seascape, Cornwall Photography Wall Art
from £21.50
PH0020 Polpeor Cove, Last Tide of Light, Old Lizard Lifeboat Launch
The old lifeboat station at Polpeor Cove, located on the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall, was once Britain’s most southerly lifeboat station. Established in 1914, it replaced an earlier station and served the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) until its closure in 1961. The station played a crucial role in numerous daring rescues along the treacherous Cornish coast. Today, the boathouse remains as a historic relic, blending into the rugged landscape. Its slipway, now weathered by the elements, stands as a reminder of the brave crews who once launched into stormy seas to save lives. The site is now abandoned.
This Photograph is printed on Pro Luster Paper: Featuring a subtle sheen, this paper enhances colour vibrancy and detail while minimizing glare.
